CIPCA, founded by the Bolivian Jesuits but now a secular NGO, is devoted to increasing the power of Bolivia’s rural communities - Quechua, Aymara and Guaraní - over decisions that affect their lives and to promoting their culture.
CIPCA has six regional offices in the north and east of Bolivia. It also has a public policy unit, based in La Paz, which seeks to enable the communities with which it works to influence public policy on issues such as land distribution, water and trade policy.
